Invisalign treatment is the movement of teeth with a series of clear retainers* that must be worn at all times except when eating or brushing your teeth. Plaster models are made of your teeth. The teeth that need aligned are cut and removed from the plaster models. They are then moved toward the desired position. The teeth are moved a little at a time so the retainers will still fit your mouth. This is why multiple retainers are needed over time for the large movement of teeth.
Complex movement can be difficult if not impossible with these appliances so they are somewhat limited in their application. A consultation will be necessary to determine whether your condition can be managed with Invisalign.
